Yılmaz served as the Head of the Committee on Planning and Budget at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye. He was a member of the AK Party CDAC, and AK Party Deputy Chair in charge of Foreign Relations and Economic Affairs. He served as a State Minister at the 60 th Government, as the Minister of Development at the 61 st, 62 nd and 64 th Governments, and as a Deputy Prime Minister at the 63 rd Government. Yılmaz served as the Head of the Turkish Group at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). Yılmaz served as the Director General of Relations with the European Union at the Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of State Planning Organization, and a member of the boards of the Turkish National Agency, the European Union Research and Application Center (ATAUM) and Sümer Halı.Įlected as Bingöl deputy at 23 rd, 24 th, 26 th and 27 th terms, and as Diyarbakır at 25 th term, Mr. Yılmaz attained his master’s degree from Denver University Department of International Studies, and doctorate’s degree from Bilkent University Department of Political Science and Public Administration.
